Reviewers Guide
The internet can be a very unkind and unsafe space.
Most websites take no responsibility for the content that they publish, leaving anonymous contributors free to make personal attacks on others. This is a particular problem for review sites, where malicious consumers or businesses can leave misleading or exaggerated comments about suppliers or competitors in order to undermine their reputation or to blackmail them into giving a credit or refund.
Reviews should be a Conversation
We share every customer review and every business reply with the other person for 48 hours, and our secure messaging system encourages a conversation about the opinions expressed. We think that's only fair. But customers are entitled to their opinion and businesses are free to offer a response.
Nobody's Perfect
Our ratings go from 0 to 10, rather than 1 to 5, so there's plenty of scope to give great ratings of 8 or 9 if that's how you feel. A properly considered review will help other potential customers to understand the particular strengths of the business. Please use the ratings to tell us if they are ...
- OK for Quality, good for Service and amazing for Value
- Unbeatable for Quality, OK for Service, but a challenge for Value
Best of All
Sometimes it might feel unfair to give a business less than full marks for everything when they have done everything they promised and tried their very best. Buut if there's still one aspect which stands out from the rest, we've added the feature "best of all", so you can make that clear as well.
Genuine photos are really helpful
